About Us

At Amsta, we manufacture stainless steel cylinders for those who operate primarily in the chemical industry and food industries. You as a customer can always count on high quality, exemplary finish, a prioritized communication and an end result optimized to your needs and wishes.

We use our past to take on the future

Under the Amsta brand, stainless vessels are manufactured with the same sense of quality and craftsmanship today as in the 1940s when it was founded. Through knowledge of how the production was focused on different types of stainless steel utensils and garden items, we can still benefit from our rich background today. Today, vessels with a retro feel from the mid-20th century are still manufactured. In the basic range there are vessels with different purposes and design from 0.5 up to 150 liters. The choices are varied and you can design your own vessel with a variety of accessories.

Manufacturing with problem solving

The manufacturing methods and the custom-built machines in our production create unique opportunities for the production of stainless products for a variety of applications. We can find solutions through our competencies which include deep drawing, eccentric pressing, pressure turning, welding, rolling, grinding and polishing. As a result, our factory in Eskilstuna today manufactures stainless steel lego-manufactured products of absolute world class.

From our subcontracting production, we currently supply products to companies in the pharmaceutical industry, the energy sector, design and interior design as well as the packaging industry.

Amsta's history

Amsta was founded in Kolbäck in 1946 by three co-owners who had previously worked together with similar manufacturing. Through the three partners, there was knowledge in production and administration, while one of the partners was a passive party. The biggest product at the start of the company was a modified so-called FINA jug, which was very popular during the 40s and 50s.

A little later, the passive owner was bought out of the company. When the next generation took over, the remaining shares in the company were bought by the two active owners. They ran the company under until 2005, when the entire company was sold to Idesta Kök in Eskilstuna. Shortly thereafter, the business was incorporated into Idesta's premises in Eskilstuna where it is operated today.
